Lindsey, Jake, and I arrived home yesterday with a clean bill of health and ready to start our new lives. Jake has settled into a 2-3 hour sleep-eat cycle and our first night home gave us each 7+ hours of sleep!

Jake arrived at 9:36pm on Sunday, October 14th weighing 6lbs 13.6oz. So far he’s been low stress and maximum precious. His mom and I can’t get over him.

I’ve uploaded all of the pictures we got to a few albums on the Family Pics page at the top, but I have to put a few in this post that deserve some greater discussion or attention.

First, let’s take a look at the best picture of the little guy that we have taken thus far.

Next, let’s look at the “bed” they provide for the Dad. It served its purpose and I can only guess that they get away with it because the last thing anyone wants to hear in a labor room is the Dad complaining about anything!

And lastly, how about a pic of the new family? I’m sure we’ll have more to say over the next few weeks. I’m going to get back to my son!

P.S. The song isn’t entirely appropriate to the situation, but it was the song playing on the ipod boombox when little Jake was born. He is, in fact, my sunshine.

Musical Mood: Norman Blake -You Are My Sunshine

  2. Jason, I love reading your notes. Keep them coming. It makes me feel closer to you, Lindsey and Jake! Love you bunches, Gma
