FoxNotes is an information management ecosystem that I designed for those who don’t just write, but build worlds. Based on my philosophy of data sovereignty, FoxNotes guarantees that your notes, stories, and files belong solely to you, without intermediaries or mandatory clouds like Google Drive.

Writing with Style and Structure

I have integrated the MediaWiki Markdown markup language to offer you the flexibility of the web with the simplicity of plain text.

Live Preview: Write and view the final result simultaneously in the editor.
Smart Navigation: FoxNotes automatically generates Tables of Contents and Backlinks. You can link your notes together to create a knowledge network, ideal for organized projects like story writing or complex lore.
Export Layouts: I designed a PDF export system with an adapted layout so that your notes maintain their structure and do not deform when shared.

Military-Grade Security

As a developer, I prioritize your privacy. That is why I have implemented a robust encryption architecture to protect every single one of your ideas:

Hybrid Encryption: I protect your notes using AES256-GCM + ChaCha20.
Key Derivation: I use Argon2id + SHA512 with variable iterations (from 100,000 to 500,000) to ensure your passwords are practically invulnerable to brute-force attacks.
Self-Contained .FOX Files: When encrypting a note, the system generates a single file that encapsulates text and images. Copying a .fox file means taking your complete and protected note with you, ready to be opened only by you.

Portability and Freedom

I have eliminated proprietary databases so that you never feel your information is being held “hostage”.

Dynamic Notebooks: The app works with simple folders that function as notebooks, where plain text notes (.txt) and encrypted notes (.fox) can coexist seamlessly.
Your data is yours: Move, copy, or back up your folders just like any other file. FoxNotes is the tool; the data is always your property.
Customizable Interface: I have included native support for English and Spanish, as well as allowing you to fully configure the interface colors to suit your taste.

Technology & Roadmap

I have programmed FoxNotes using .NET 9 MAUI, optimizing it for high performance on desktop.

In Development: I am currently working on the Android version and a smart synchronization system between devices so that your notes are always with you, maintaining the same security.
